It has been weeks since I updated my blog. I've had computer problems and now i seem to have lost my desire to design. I'm hoping to start creating more freebies again soon.

Round 2 The Next Best Thing Designer Contest

Well I made it through to the next round. The instructions this week - create a kit for 25+. I went with a mature feeling kit called "Reflections" to help scrap our lives at particular ages. I would have liked to do more but my computer is about to blow up so i thought i had better get it into the contest before it actually dies. So here's hoping it is fixed soon so i can see all the other wonderful kits the other contestants have created.

You can grab my kit here at Digital Scrap Ink. I am hoping to create an add-on for this kit so keep your eye on my blog over the coming weeks for it (of course it all depends on the health of my computer as to when it gets created and posted!)

The Next Best Thing Designer Contest Round 1

I have submitted my entry into the Digital Scrap Ink "The Next Best Thing Designer Contest". I created a mini kit called Dinosaur Stomp and here is what it looks like:

It consists of:
6 papers (3 patterned, 3 plain)
4 dinosaurs
1 volcano
1 ribbon
1 straight stitching
5 tags
2 dino flair buttons
1 word flair button
2 brads
1 set of footprints
1 frame.

Week 1 Entry to "The Next Best Thing Designer Contest"

Well I've managed to finish my entry for the first week of the Digital Scrap Ink Designer Contest. We have to create a mini kit using one of four swatches. Theme is all our choice. Deadline for week one entries is Thursday so be sure to check out their forum for all the entries and leave some love. I will post a preview of my kit on Thursday with a link to the downloads.

The Next Best Thing

I have been accepted into the "The Next Best Thing" Designer contest at Digital Scrap Ink. Our first challenge is to chose a swatch (four provided) and create a mini kit. If you didn't get the chance to take part in the designer contest you can still play along. Check out the forum at Digital Scrap Ink for all the info and keep your eyes open for all the fantastic kits that are going to be made. First challenge has to be posted by June 11th.

Haven Designz Competition

Spiders, Spiders, Everywhere is my first "real" freebie for you to enjoy. It is a fun spider kit inspired by my four year olds desire to have a "spider cake" for his birthday recently.

Forever Friends is the final kit i made for the Brownie Scraps Challenge. We were given four photos to find inspiration from be it colour, shapes, theme etc. We then chose our own colour palette and went from there.

This is one of the first kits i created during the challenge. We had to learn how to use the pen tool - not an easy process but i love it now! This kit is called A Garden Adventure and i really enjoyed making a fun kit for my boys photos.
